Our New Location:

We relocated our office to the main floor of 2216 Smith Street in 2024 after Tara and her husband purchased the 1906 building known locally as the Newlands Residence.   It was the home of Henry Newlands and his daughter, Edina, during his appointment to the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, well before he became the fourth lieutenant-governor of Saskatchewan and moved to Government House.  Historically notable in her own right, Edina became the twelfth female pilot in Canada.

The home served as a single-family residence until 1933 when it was converted into apartment suites, later becoming known as Windsor Court.  It was redeveloped for a mix of commercial and residential use in approximately 1986, with a major addition and further renovations taking place in 2000.

When we were ready to move to the main floor, we felt it needed some updating and we required further renovations to add some functionality for our law office.  With Appelquist Interior Design and Holli’s unique ability to appreciate our vision for the property that she balanced with our need for function, the attention to detail in the carpentry of Darrel Protz who showed constant respect for the age of the home, and the help and diligence of a variety of other professionals and contractors, we now have a space that makes our practice more efficient and enhances the old house charm.

We look forward to welcoming clients in our wonderful space in the heart of Regina’s Transition Area for years to come.
